Recently, as wedding photographers based in Spain, we had the chance to document a post-wedding session in France, an unforgettable experience for both us and the couple. Our three-day journey began in the romantic city of Paris, after which we headed to Mont Saint-Michel, a magical and unique destination.
To maximize our experience and mobility, we chose to rent a car in Paris. This decision was crucial as it allowed us to explore flexibly and conduct the photo session efficiently. Even though distances in Paris can be long and the traffic challenging, having a car gave us the comfort of moving around easily, especially in the rain.
On our first afternoon in Paris, the rain didn't stop us from having a charming photo session. We visited iconic locations like the Louvre Museum, the Tuileries Gardens, and the Eiffel Tower. We highly recommend visiting the Eiffel Tower at night to enjoy a spectacular and different view. We also fulfilled the couple's wish to see the Moulin Rouge, adding a special touch to their experience.
The next day, we continued our adventure in Paris, exploring areas like the River Seine and the Alexander III Bridge. Walking through the streets of Paris proved to be the best way to explore, discovering perfect corners for photos in every nook, illuminated by unique and captivating light. However, we recommend wearing comfortable shoes due to the long walks.
Our next destination was Mont Saint-Michel. We stayed in a rented apartment and began our photo session the following morning. Although there is a bus available, we decided to walk to this fortified town, which allowed us to capture stunning photographs. Mont Saint-Michel, though small, is a magical place, and its monastery is a treasure for any photographer, though prior permission is required to access its inner areas.
Our experience in Mont Saint-Michel was as magical as in Paris, with the winter light adding a special touch to our photos. This trip was not only memorable but also enabled us to enthusiastically recommend France as an exceptional destination for wedding reports.
