Barbara Zanon Wins 2 Silver Medals At IPA 2014

A panel of high-level (some names: David Clarke, Tate, Susan Baraz, Stacy Baker of The New York Times, Alison Castle of Taschen, Phil Coomes editor at the BBC, Juan Curto of Camera Obscura, Ken Geiger and Todd James of National Geographic Rob Haggart, Kristina Hicks of Saatchi + Saatchi, Sofia Lahti, Liz Lapp, Frank Maresca, Lesley Martin of Aperture Foundation, Paul Moakley photo editors of TIME, Mick Moore of Britsh Journal of Photography, M.Norseng of Esquire, of C.Newman Telegraph Magazine, of Osaka Nikon) this year gathered to judge over 27,000 photographic works ranging from architectural photography to reportage photography from commercial photography to portraiture.

After the release of the results of the IPA 2014 (the International Photography Awards), the director emeritus of photography of TATE, David Clarke, has chosen the best of the best of winning images of IPA 2014 for an exhibition to be held from November 1, 2014 to January 31, 2015, at One Hudson in New York City.

One of these images is a wedding portrait by Barbara Zanon.

This is a really important news for wedding photography, because often wedding photography has always been considered a second-class photography. This recognition, however, ennobles this photographic genre and photographers who pursue and strive to improve it.
