Real Wedding Description

Lai and Christopher, native Montrealers, both attended Concordia University’s Liberal Arts College with about 98 of their peers. They agree that during the program perhaps only ten words were exchanged between them! Off they went, in separate ways, for many years.

Attending a reunion in March 2009, they happened to sit together. To their mutual surprise, (and that of their friends), Christopher and Lai found themselves drawn to each other. Their romance bloomed despite living 200 kilometers apart. Although they live in Ontario, the wedding took place in Montreal, in March 2012 at the McGill Birks Heritage Chapel, attended by their family and friends (including those who sat with them at the fateful reunion 3 years earlier!). Christopher’s 12 year old son honoured the marriage as one of the groomsmen.

Having met with Brian, it was not hard to decide to go with Brian Limoyo Photography. His discreet and candid approach to shooting totally suited the couples’ style. Like Lai and Christopher, their wedding day can be described as a perfect balance of tradition, elegance, and romance. The portraits were taken in the old port of Montreal, where shortly after the celebration continued with the tea ceremony and the reception at the Chinatown Holiday Inn.

The couple then honeymooned for two weeks in France. Days passed with languid strolls in old Antibes on the Cote d’Azur and romantic wanderings in Paris: beautiful visions of sea, nature, art, and architecture, and nightly gastronomie-fueled adventures. Overcoming bounds of time and space, love endures as they share households in Toronto and London, Ontario. The blended family is very happy!
