Real Wedding Description

Jennifer and James’ wedding took place on a glorious late August summer day, in the forest surrounding Maplewood Hall, in Ancaster, Ontario.

James and the groomsmen were ready well before the ceremony began and they were eager to take lots of group photos, doing various activities like wielding ‘swords’ aka sticks, throwing leaves at each other and seeing who could jump the highest and pretending to be tourists posing for a photo. For James, it may have been one last ‘hurrah’ before the commitment of marriage. For me, it was a lot of fun to photograph!

Jen knew all of the ladies in her bridal party (with the exception of her sister-in-law) since elementary school, and their tears and smiles throughout the ceremony were evidence of how deep their friendships ran.

The reception featured a delicious assortment of pies baked by many guests, a conga line, humorous speeches, a vegetarian buffet, drawings of squirrels on the bathroom door, since Jen adores them and a highlight for many was the outdoor bonfire.

The guests all stayed until the wee hours of the night, enjoying the magic that took place in the forest that day.
