Sarah and Patrick live in Portland, Oregon but decided that a destination wedding in Woodstock, Vermont was the perfect setting for their wedding day.
The wedding was a gathering of family and close friends. The backdrop was the home that Sarah grew up in and her parents still reside. The days leading up to the wedding were full of thunderstorms and torrential outbursts of rain. The forecast for the wedding day was anyone’s guess.
The rehearsal dinner started off with a downpour, but eventually the clouds disappeared and the sun came out. Wedding day was blue skies and sunshine. Sarah and Patrick put a great deal of attention into every detail. From the hand-picked flowers to the handmade arch. Sarah’s father even made the table used in the ceremony from wood that has been in the family for 4 generations!
The mood of the wedding was light and easy. A beautiful, backyard wedding set in the beauty of Vermont. After the ceremony, the guests were treated to an intimate dinner at the Simon Pearce Glass factory located in an historic wool mill overlooking the Ottauquechee River waterfall.
